Absolute position within relative?

Hi,
I am new so please have mercy on me. I've checked the other listing and have not found an answer to this question:

I have a menu which looks and works like I want it to and it is embedded in a table cell. Unfortunately it appears a little high (up a couple of pixels) in the table cell.

I have tried using the top= parameter to shift it down. I am assuming that it DOES NOT work whent he position=relative parameter is set.
When RELATIVE is set, does the position totally depend on the table?

I would appreciate any help. thanks!

Hi,

I just responded at the other section. Just so you know, this is a volunteer forum. Usually things get answered pretty quickly, but sometimes it takes a few hours. In some cases where we have to do layouts and such to see it may take pretty much the whole day. But, we try to get it as quickly as we can.
