How to turn off onbgcolor in top menu when on submenu?

Hi

I can't seem to find how to do this. When you mouse over a top level menu item the bgcolor changes which is good. If the item has a submenu and you mouse over those items the bgcolour chnages too - which is also good.

But the client doesn't like how the top level remains highlighted - eg onbgcolor. Can this be swithed back to the offbgcolor?

can you set the overbgcolor for the mouse over to a different color... but leave the onbgcolor 'unselected'?
