Menu Item disappears after you select an item on the submenu

This is probably an easy questions but I’m unable to figure it out myself. I have a vertical menu on my website. When I select a link under one of the menu items the menu item disappears on the selected page. Is there a setting to turn this off?

My site:
http://test.veridicus-guild.com/main2.cfm

select guild info and then raid calendar. The menu item will disappear after the page loads.

Hi,

When I mouseover the Guild Info I get a submenu. At the bottom I click on Raid Calendar and it opens a new page, then since my mouse is not on the submenu anymore it closes as it should and the main menu is still there and that submenu will open again if you mouseover it. Are you saying you want that submenu to remain open over the calender?

I know one thing that seems to be happening is if you click the raid calendar again you get an error page. I think that's because of the url path, but don't quote me, they are the bain of my life!

I bet I know what you're seeing, you have pagecolor set to black in the submenus, so if the page url matches the item the text will go to black.

oops i did have a couple problems with links in the menu. The problem i'm seeing those is that once you select an item in the submenu the main category fades out when the page is loaded. When you select anything under 'Guild Info' after the page loads 'Guild info' is no longer visible to the user unless they happen to hover over the black space where the menu resides. Since there are more options under 'Guild Info', i would still like the menu item to be visible to the user.

Thanks,

-Cory
