Menu Files

Hey, I'm new to this and I dont know if im posting this in the right place.
I downloaded those files from milonic, for example menu_data.js and they wont open on my computer so I can edit my menu, what do I need to be able to open them? I have javascript downloaded and it still doenst work?!

You didn't!
From your statement, with all due respect, I have to wonder about your experience level with web development. JS files are just text (like (X)HTML), nothing fancy. Therefore, any text editor will do - Dreamweaver, Notepad, WordPad, BBEdit (Mac), etc.
