Horizontal menu w/3.4 takes up more pixels

I notice that Version Version 3.4 of the mmenu.js script causes my horizontal menu to be longer than with prior versions of the script. My menu now takes up the entire space plus some on an 800x600 screen. With other versions there was some white space on each side of my menu on the 800x600

This occurs with Windows 98 using NS 4.79 but not with IE 5.5 With IE the menu still has white space on each end.
