Frames menu mouse-on colour change flaky on non-IE browsers

Hi,

The menu is fantastic, but there seems to be a tiny anoying problem with the frames version on browsers other than IE. If I go to http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/frames/ and move mouse back and forth over the top or side menu, then quite often the background colour doesn't change. If you move mouse *very* slowly, stop it over the next item, the colour would change, but as long as you start moving it further (while still being over that menu item) the colour would change back to the mouse-off one). The same doesn't happen when moving mouse over the menu inside the main frame. Other menus on the site work just fine.

The affected browsers that I tried are Opera (Win, Linux), Mozilla (Win, Linux) and Netscape 4.7 (Win, Linux).

Just wanted to know, is something missing in the frames version or is it browsers' limitation?

Thanks

Hi,

This problem was fixed earlier today and will be included in the next release due out in the next few days.

The site sample at http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/frames should now be working as you expect.

Cheers
Andy.

Cool!

Is the fix in the mmenu.js or in the array files? In other words, to upgrade, can I just copy over the new mmenu.js from the site or should I get all them and go through the painful :) process of editing array files again?

Thank you

The only file you will need to upgrade is mmenu.js your old array files will still be compatible.

This is why we say not to edit mmenu.js but of course, you knew that already didnt you :)

The beta version is at http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/mmenu.js

Cheers
Andy.

PS. As a matter of fact I did modify mmenu.js adding document.domain="mydomain.com" to avoid cross-domain scripting security limitation (some of my pages are on different hosts). May be this could be added as an configurable parameter in future versions to save frustration for some people.

Regards.
