How do I make my menu items transparent similar to :
http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/

Does it make any difference that the menu is on the side rather than the top of the page.

Thanks for your assistance,

Its an effect i.e:
//effect2 = "Alpha( style=0,opacity=65)"

The effects only work with IE5.5 and higher

Is there a way to have more than one effect per item?

I'd like to have a dissolve and still have the menu be transparent. is hit possible? if so, how?

Shure you can
Just add them divided by semicolons i.e.
effect = "Fade(duration=0.2);Shadow(color='#999999', Direction=135, Strength=5)"
For the syntax and examples of effects watch "Forms"-"Transitions&Effects" on http://www.milonic.co.uk
