3.3: Odd behaviour of mouse pointer under Netscape 4.79

I have installed version 3.3 of the menu (mmenu.js dated 2002-02-10) and found that the way the mouse pointer has changed from version 3.2. In 3.2 the pointer always looked like a grabbing hand, whatever the area of the menu it was on. In 3.3, when the pointer touches the top menu bar, it displays only as a cross-hair, and it is only when you are hovering over submenus that it looks like a hand. When you are hovering over an entry in a submenu that has a submenu, it again shows up as a cross-hair. I am wondering whether all this is intentional or a bug (or a bug with Netscape, which often tends to switch from a hand to a crosshair when using contextual menus). In IE 5.5 SP2, an arrow displays on the top menu, and a hand in submenus.

I have also observed that the "target=new" that I have appended to a number of my URLs in my menus no longer displays on the status line, but only the URL itself. This is not bad in itself, but it could be that the user would appreciate knowing that the page will open in another window.
