Width of the menu and using cell

Hi,

I'm just trying to integrate a horizontal menu bar in my web layout...

I use a fixed width for my web site, using a table fixed to 768 pixels. I would like to include the menu in one cell of this table, but i have a problem, the menu does'nt respect the width of the cell...

I would like that the menu fill the full width of the table/cell, if i set the border to 0, the menu is shortest than my 768 pixels, and if i specify the border to 1, the menu do the full width of the browser and not the width of the cell...

How can i do ?
