Transparent background in netscape 4x

I would like to set the menu to have a transparent background.
I have set the mouse off background colour to 0 and this work in IE and Netscape 6 but 4 gives me a grey block.

Does any one know of a way to set the transparency for Netscape 4 or alternativly a way to set the background to white in 4 and transparent in the other browsers.

Thanks in advance for any help

Similar problem - need transparent items and showing, in my case, as black blocks in NS 4.79. Anyone know a fix? Alternatively, could I put a background image/colour for NS 4 users only...?

Try setting the border color to "" in Netscape 4 and see if that helps

Yep - that does it. Thanks Andy. :D Still works fine in IE5.5 and NS6 too. Is using "" fine cross-platform in general?
