XP Style menu_sample25 - Gap problem

Poster: FuturityMMX

Hi All,

I've just downloaded the menu_sample25.zip file (the XP Style menu). Unfortunately it appears to have a gap to the right of the "colors" menu title.

Strange thing is that is doesn't have the gap on the demo page:

Any idea what's going on :?:

Regards

Neil

The gap doesn't appear to be transparent

Hi,

I've just checked to see if the gap is transparent. I had the idea of putting a table under it with the correct colour. To test this, I've changed the background colour of the page to green, but the gap still appears to be white.

Looks like the gode is drawing a white gap / bar.

Gap in XP style menu

Hi,

That's the thing. The example you download has the problem. The one on their site doesn't. I'm talking about the one you download as a zip file and run from your hard disk.

http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/download. ... ampleid=25

and click on the submit button to download the example.

Or I could upload the Milonic example to a website temporarily if you like? but it may be quicker to debug off the harddisk from the zip file.

Any help would be great as I'm holding off using this menu system until i know that this bug can be fixed.

OK, now we're on the same page! Sorry 'bout that.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what to tell you about the problem. The menu code sent down is the most current. Actually the download sample doesn't even render properly in my browser (latest IE6/XP) - it's sitting on top of some text - but the site page is OK. My guess is there's something in the way it's generating the code. Not much help, I know.

However, it does work in the V4 beta we're playing with right now. Most of the functionality is there, plus a whole lot more. See http://westcgi.west.asu.edu/sai/indextest2.cfm for an example I'm still playing with. If you'd care to try the beta see http://www.milonic.com/4beta/menu.htm.
