Hi! A little problem with phpBB here at milonic forum: when I try to update my profile adding an avatar I get lots of errors and the image I selected cannot be uploaded... can U fix please?

Posted about this in another of your messages. "...lots of errors..." doesn't tell us anything at all about what is going wrong. Post the exact error messages. Note also that your Avatar can be no larger than 80x80 and 10K in size.

We're here to help, but you have to do the same - help us help you :!:

It might be a permissions problem, John.

dagon, can you try again and let me know if it works, I've just changed the perms for the images directory.

cheers
Andy

Ah ha :!: A little behind-the-scenes activity. Something I can't quite reach from across the pond... ;)

There are no avatars to select from.
I should know this, creation in the control panel, or did I add a cache file :?

2. A new post has a 'highted folder image' it switches off a layer down in each category appearing as already read. ie. looking for new posts because its not highlighted. I think it could be a 'new post image' is missing a layer down.

You're welcome.

What we have done is disable the Avatar Gallery. This way folks will not be able to pick the same Avatar and we then wind up with a Forum full of look-alikes. Users are able to either upload their Avatar to our server, or link to it on their server.
