I can't get anything to work....

I have not purchased this yet. I downloaded the zip file for the horizontal menu and also for nesting in a table. I have tried both but to no avail. I moved the .js files into the server root directory and pasted in the script calls in my header section of the index.html page. I modified the menu_data.js file as instructed but havn't seen any of the modifications take effect. Everytime I preview the page, it's just showing the same milonic example file from the download in the same exact position. If you look on http://www.dallassummermusicals.org , you'll find my site. I am trying to insert two DHTML menus in the exact same place as the two text menus I currently have. They are in a table. How the HECK do I do this? HELP!

Steven

Help is on the way

OK, I see your page, but I don't see a thing on it about the menu - no JS calls, nothing...

URL correction

there was a comma accidentally added to the URL.... try here:

I just want to put a DHTML menu in the place of the two horizontal HTML menus currently there.

Also, any idea why I can't see any of the modifications when I preview?

Thanks

Ok, I have uploaded the test page I was working on locally (local server). You should be able to see everything I was working on.

The bizarre thing is, working locally, I wasn't seeing any changes. Once I published, there they were; but I'm still confused. I'm new to js; do you only see the effects once published, or are you suppossed to be able to preview locally?

Ewe, That sounds like a version 3 problem to me.

Are you using version 5.0? if not it might be an idea to U/G

Cheers
Andy

You won't see anything locally unless your path structure exactly matches that of your server.

So, it works. Now you need to change the styles, text, etc., to match your site. See http://milonic.com/ for a whole bunch of samples and the Quick Reference Guides.

And, no, you don't need to know JS to get this done.

thanks,

Just took a look at your site, looks like you are getting things pretty well. All the menus appear to working correctly and look fine. You got some padding differences between some of the menus, but that may be by design, it just looked funny to me. Good job, enjoy your Milonic DHTML menu, be sure to purchase a license if you already haven't done so!! ;)
