In version 3 you had a feature like a menu info box.
Something like this:

show-menu=info1

addmenu(menu=["info1",
box_top,box_left,box_width,1,"",plain_style,,,effect3,,,,,,,,,,,,,
"<table width="+(box_width-10)+" height="+box_height+" border=2><tr><td.........

Will this feature be available in version 5? 8O

will this menu info box be added as a feature in version 5?
Or maybe there is such a feature that i haven't discovered yet?

Hi,

If I recall correctly, the info boxes in that v3 example were actually just menus that popped up in a preset position. You should be able to do the same thing with the v5 menu now, using showmenu or -- if you need showmenu to actually show a submenu -- using onfunction to call the popup() function to open the appropriate "info box" menu. The key would be that the menus you define for info boxes have their top and left positions set, so that they open where you want the info box to appear, rather than branching off of a main menu.

Hope that helps,

Kevin

Hi 4viggo,

It occurs to me that I visited a site yesterday, as part of this thread, that does exactly what you are talking about. It's a nicely designed site, and I'm sure that Brett would not mind me pointing you to it as an example. It's at: http://ecg.zware.net -- look at the white info box in the lower left. It changes as you mouse over the main menu selections listed above the box, at the left of the page.

Thank's for the tip Kevin, it is a nice site, well designed and a nice implementation of a info box. Gives me some ideas. :P
