Submenu problems with multiple menus on the same page.

Just noticed a bit of a weird problem on a menu I'm currently working on but it can be verified using the examples at the Milonic site.

I've only tried it on IE 6 under Windows XP and Opera 7.11 under Win 98.

Go to the home page and select one of the examples - The first horizontal one will do but I believe it will affect any page containing two menus that have sub menus.

You should now have a page with the main Milonic Menu and the sample menu. If you mouse over the main Milonic menu items first to show the sub menus then they work as expected. If you then mouse over the sample menu items the sub menus are shown but don't disappear!

Now refresh the page and try running over the sample menu items first. Then the main Milonic menu items and those submenus no longer disappear. Bit weird huh?

Or am I the only one seeing that behaviour? 8O

My menus started doing the same thing, I was trying to get mac IE to recognize padding="0 1 2 3"; or padding="1px 2px 3px 4px"; or 1% 2% etc. when I started noticing an array of submenus not closing.

Would that be classified as a bugette then?

I'm probably the bugette

I've done a lot more testing today, cos I can't get IE mac 100% width, padding or margin.

The only problem today is Firebird, submenus are sluggish and scroll bar is sticking. Although thats where I first noticed the behavoir.

What browser are you using?

Do check your code for minor slips, it could be an error getting through.

I'm using the Milonic menu examples actually on the Milonic site not my own.

So far I've tested IE 6, Opera 7.11 and Netscape 6 and all show the same problem.

It would appear a new menu release - dated today - has been posted and appears to have fixed this particular issue.

Will verify in a few minutes.

Yup - that fixed it!

I guess I'm thanking Andy for fixing that in stealth mode! :D

It did? I'm still getting multiple scroll bars hanging.

And still no mac ie 100% width padding or margins.

This is so frustrating I've had to make the menu the same as the page background, put in images left and right, what a muddle, if I use transparent images I can't use onbgcolor or page color.

I don't want to redesign, I want to launch.

I was referring to the issue with the menus not closing.

Yes I realize that, but if make the scroll bar show, you'll see the menu close but the scroll bars are still hanging.
