Question about seperating drop down menus

I've been building a site for a customer using a table to seperate 7 main navigational image elements. The below image shows 3 of them (didn't want to take up too much horizontal space in the forum):

The customer wants to reduce the height of the system which uses two simple DIV elements positioned inside a table cell. A javascript command switches the visibility of the DIV elements in response to a mouseover.

I'd like to replace everything below the "paper" headers with a Milonic menu, but figured I should check in here for some advice before doing so and for an answer to my principal question:

Can the menu exist in an environment where the triggering elements are images that are seperated by table cells?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, if I understand correctly what you mean, that you would have the menu 'drop' down from the page images? But, the divs might be a problem, the menu doesn't like to be inside a div in some browsers. You might read the information on putting a menu in a table cell, and the menu sample for the pop menu positioned by images. On the Milonic Home page you will see the main menu and under DHTML Menu you'lll find the samples listed, there is also a 'quick reference guide' listed there and you could look at the 'methods and functions' which gives information on the pop menu. Under the Support section of the main menu is the information about putting the menu in a table, it's not as simple as just putting it in the table. But, from what you said I didn't think the menu would really be in the table, would it? I mean it seems the images are in the table and you'd just pop the submenus off the images?
