Hi,
I've just purchased a professional license and downloaded a vertcal menu. When I change a menu option in the menu_data.js file the option retains the default text and no sub-menus appear. Am I missing something?
Also, what I really want to do is use menu data from a MYSQL database - any pointers?
Thanks.

Yep - posting a URL so we can see what's going on and see your code! :D

Many folks here doing just that, and there are quite a few topics posted. Use the Search function to find what you're looking for.

Where you have showmenu=*****;
Is the name given to the submenu ******
Don't use quotes in menu items.

As John says a url is helpful otherwise we're guessing.

Thanks to Maz & John,
In my excited state to get started I didn't read some of the instructions properly - never done that before!!! Anyway, part one of my question is sorted.
About the MYSQL bit, I've done a bit of forum searching and will carry on. However, if anyone can save me time with a specific reference I'd be grateful. Two issues really - whats' the best way to substitute the menu_data.js file with a read to a db (example code?) and are there any good maintenance functions around ie. add/change/delete/resequence menu items. No point in reinventing the wheel.
Many thanks.

I don't know if this will help. It's some kind of builder, something about php/mySql. http://support.milonic.com/datamenu/mysqlmenu.php
