Been away for a bit, but having a new problem . . .

Hello all!! It's been awhile, but I started working on my site again, and ran into trouble with the Milonic menu I wanted to put up. Last time I asked a question here everyone was super helpful, so I thought I'd give it another try.

I've worked with other Milonic menus successfully, so I'm not sure why it's not working this time. I'm working with the horizontal menu this time. My issues are as follows:

1) When working in Front Page, I can get the meny to come up after inserting the code into the header of the page. However, editing the menu_data.js file to customize the menu contents does nothing. For instance, the default menu_data.js file has "Links" as one of the headers, with a drop down menu containing 5 sub categories. If I go into the menu_data.js file and edit the line of code

Code:
with(milonic=new menuname("Links")){

it does not change the text in the menu. The word "Links" still appears. The only change is the drop down menu no longer will scroll on mouse over. This is true for all of the menu headings.

2) After inserting the appropriate link http://www.milonic.com/ into the page, I am still getting the "Milonic" text popping up. Last time I had this issue, i was forgetting the foward slash at the end, so I have been sure to include it. But no luck this time.

All these issues are in front page itself, in the preview page. So i decided to go ahead and publish the page and see how it acts on the internet. However, the menu doesn't even show up there. I get a javascript error code stating that the term "ns4" is undefined.

So, at this point, I am at a loss to figure out the issue. The page I'm working on is at http://www.markrhodes.us/photos.htm and the menu files can be found at /milonic/navmenu/. I have successfully installed the menu on the index page of the same site and am installing the new menu using my experiences from that page, so I'm not sure why this one is different.

Thanks a bunch for any guidance or help you can offer!!

I'm not sure what it is with web forums, but I find them fantastically helpful. I'll troubleshoot and work an issue till I finally give up and post for help on the appropriate forum. Then, shortly after I post the question, I figure out what I was doing wrong *lol*

So, this may be the easiest problem you all have fixed yet. I figured out my issue, and as usual I was being a bonehead.

Thanks in advance though, because I know you all would have been very helpful (and gotten a couple snickers from my silly mistakes).

Hi Mark,
We NEVER snicker.....we actually laugh right out loud..... ;) I'm just kidding.

Glad you figured out that though you can change the submenu name, to change the text in the main menu you change the item itself that said links. I only posted this so that others who might run across the same problem will see what needed to be done. And, it's not a silly one, it's something someone new might do, or someone who's been away a long time might do [kind of like starting all over again]

You need to upgrade, Mark. You're running RC50, a long since dead beta. The current version is full release 5.48. Many, many fixes and additions.
