sub menu not staying open

Hello im having a problem with my sub menu not staying open when a main menu is clicked.

http://testsites.imagebound.com.au/demo ... ed_menu.js
http://testsites.imagebound.com.au/demo ... nu_data.js

Currently, the submenu only stays open when i rollover its main menu. When I roll off it onto anywhere else but the menu system, it still stays on. When I roll off it onto another main menu with a sub menu, it doesn't show. Then if I click on the main menu or its sub menu, it doesnt show.
I'd like the sub menu to stay open once the main menu or its sub menu is clicked.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi,

We are going to need the actual page to test. You also need to make sure you have the newest version of the menu 5.766 I believe is the latest.

That's because with each new version little 'bugs' or new abilities and functionality with newer browsers get included.

You may also need to use openmenusbyurl.js that way when you click on a main item, when you get to whatever page, if it has the same url then the corresponding submenu should be open. Not sure if that is what you mean.

Hi,

If I understand: when you click say Products and get to the products page you want that submenu to still be open. That will not happen unless you use the openmenusbyurl.js module. After all when you click you go to another page and therefore that page has no clue what you did on the first page and the menu is reset just as if you'd refreshed the original page. The title for the module is Automatic Menu Opening

You also need to upgrade the menu you are way downlevel and a number of things have been fixed and functionality added. Since this was only the addition of a module I posted but if you have any kind of actual functionality problems we will not be able to help if you don't get the latest version of the menu. Too many things change, get added and get fixed.

Hello Ruth,

The below files I'm using for my menu are version 5.7 onwards:
milonic_src.js
mmenudom.js
mmenuns4.js

The below files I'm using are version 1.0x:
preloadmenuimages.js
mmhighlight.js

The below files I'm unsure what version it is:
embed_menu.js
menu_data.js

The below file is v3 onwards:
swapImage.js

Which one do I need to upgrade and where can I find the upgrades?

I have tried what you suggested with the openmenusbyurl.js but it doesnt seem to be working unless I've done something wrong.

Thank you

Hi,

You need to login on the main site under whatever your registered name when you purchased the menu. Then click on the download menu button and it will download the newest version of the menu with your license in it.

Once you have done that, then I suggest that you copy the milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, mmenuns4.js that you have now to a folder so you will have them available in case you need to revert for whatever reason. Then upload those same files from your new download. DO NOT upload the menu_data.js file since that will over write your data. I suggest you rename your menu_data.js file to something else so you never make the mistake of over writing it with the menu_data.js file in the download.

Once you have done that you also need to go to the modules page and download the newest version of the modules you are using, i.e. the preloadimages.js file.

As to the swapimages.js that is not a milonic file as far as I know. The Milonic menu program has the off and on images coding built in.
