openmenusbyurl for first of two menus

Good day!

I apologize if this has been asked before; I did try searching on various keywords.

I have 2 menus (each with submenus) on most pages.

The first menu is the main top nav to navigate through the site. Each of these has a sub-nav of about 2-3 horizontal elements.

Once you land on one of those sub-pages there is an additional menu with even more (10-20 drop down/ vertical) elements.

My goal is to have the top/main menu open with the appropriate submenu. I've played with _popi() and keepalive; and I've found that openmenusbyurl.js is pretty much what I need, but is only desirable when there's only one menu per page.

The issue is that when a second menu appears on the page, openmenusbyurl.js opens the drop downs for that (secondary) menu. I would like it to open only the main top and sub menus.

Is there an argument or additional function I can add so that openmenusbyurl.js affects only the first / topmost / main menu, and not the second?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

On the pages that have the second menu if you leave off the openmenusbyurl then none of the menus will have a sub open.

Hope I understood the question.
