Which menu should I use if I want the menu to be built from images that roll over but the drop down can be a standard no image drop down?

I did not see a sample from the list of something that does that.

Hi,

You can use any sample. For example, you could take the original download, then change the menuStyle to have the images you want, then create a new style for the drop down submenus and just apply that style.

You might want to take a look at the beginners' guide forum and look at the Styling the Menu topics, part I and II in particular.

The way this works is that you can create as many styles as you want, so for example, you could have a main menu that had 25 items all opening submenus, and you could create a mainStyle which you'd apply to the main menu and then you could create 25 different subStyles and apply a different one to each submenu. So, it doesn't matter which menu you use to start, you would change the style to be what you want it.

I've not looked at the images sample, but if it had a menuStyle with images in it, then you'd apply that to the main menu, and create a different style for the submenus which had no bgimages in it, but off and on bgcolors instead.
