cramped rollover image

I found Milonic after much searching (years) and happened upon this discussion, which was exactly what I was looking for:

I have purchased the registered version and I'm doing pretty good for my first day with the menu system (see test page:

The problem I'm having relates to the menu rollover image not having room to appear, presumably because of 100% table widths, but I am not sure. See same menu on a real page:

This happens in both Firefox and IE, and since I want to put the menu in a whole lot of pages, thought I'd see if there was an easy solution. (I guess NOT having the rollover image horizontal would be one easy solution)

Data file below, since I couldn't get it to attach. Menu Buttons attached below that (very bottom)

Hi,

The problem has to do with the images being two different sizes. So, here are two new images for you to use. They are both 68px by 68px. You have to have the same sizes for your mouseover. Let me know when you get the images so I can remove them from my site

At the bottom is your 'new' menu data file. I suggest you name it something different, like menu_data_v1.js, when you copy and paste, in case you just want to go back to what you have.

What I did was to change the over and out filter for the 1st submenu. By using the Blinds filter and setting it to 1 blind then in IE the menu will look like it is sliding out and sliding back in. Now, that is only in IE since those filters are proprietary to Microsoft and IE browsers. In other browsers it looks just like it does now.

Also, note you have 3 styles now, 1 for the main, one for the first big sub and then the original for the other subs. This is only so you will have something to see what I have done to get the styles and the filters set ups. If you prefer what you have, just use your data file and rename the images to the ones I posted here.

Ruth, I got the images - decided to use a 1x1 transparent gif instead of a rollover image.

My Dreamweaver (Argh!) is telling me that there are dozens of broken links to menu_data_noscroll.js (which I don't have in my directories) Is this a vestige of another script that I can get rid off?

Hi,

It's too bad about the rollovers, the end result actually came out really nice, but the one advantage to just having text is that accessibility for those who need it allows them to change the font size.

I have no idea about the other stuff. I do not have dreamweaver, actually I still hand code for the most part. That seems to be a dreamweaver thing and I don't know about it nor how to fix whatever the problem is. Remember you have a page called mmenu that you posted. That has menu_data_noscroll.js file on it in addition to the menuv file

I've not heard of that file before and it's not somthing that is embedded into the code. Should be safe to get rid of it.

Hi,

That reference is to the test page you first posted which had a file on it called menu_data_noscroll.js. That was some menu data file you created and for whatever reason Dreamweaver is still seeing that link someplace, or.... does dreamweaver have some kind of 'history' or cache? Maybe it's still seeing it from some cache? Of course, the file no longer exists and that page isn't there anymore which had the call to that data file so I'm not sure why DW is saying it has links to it.
